Pros

The only pro is that they are flexible when it comes to taking time off without pay.

Cons

Many cons, customers are rude, they eat and eat but don't buy anything and when you run out of product and more needs to be purchased, your sales quota increases. Customers bring their entire family to eat for free then get annoyed when you try to talk to them about the product you are selling. One customer told me to shut up and give him his sample. Another customer told my co-worker that she wouldn't buy the food because she didn't want to get fat like most Americans. She said, " I don't want to look like you." The customers try to take the samples while you are trying to cut them or prepare them. The pay isn't distributed fairly. There are many employees that get the easy work such as handing out candy, cookies, chips etc. because they either can't cook or are too old to handle the tough jobs. The rest of us have to cook raw chicken, raw Salmon, pork and other meats and deal with the stress of keeping everything sanitary and clean while the customer complains that they have to wait for the sample. There are times when we are required to demo multiple products at the same time while other just have to put chips in a cup.

Pros

independent work, flexible, easy to get the hang of, quick hiring process.

Cons

non fixed schedule, often call outs, management isn't the fastest but they try, standing for 4-6 hours a day.

Pros

Very nice people on my team. Most of us are retired and truly enjoy our customers.

Cons

Absolutely horrible management. They treat sales people as disposable. We are told to use the bathroom before we clock in and during our breaks only. We are not allowed to have any kind of medical alert bracelet or necklace on us during work. We are not provided with the proper gloves because they are too expensive. We never have enough time to get our work done after standing for 6 hours. And to remedy that we were given even less time... Team members who need walking aids (canes) are not allowed to bring them to the floor so they can safely go back to the kitchen. Oh and those little 15-minute breaks... That is when we are told to restock. So we are using our break time for work tasks.
