Pros
The only pro is that they are flexible when it comes to taking time off without pay.
Cons
Many cons, customers are rude, they eat and eat but don't buy anything and when you run out of product and more needs to be purchased, your sales quota increases. Customers bring their entire family to eat for free then get annoyed when you try to talk to them about the product you are selling. One customer told me to shut up and give him his sample. Another customer told my co-worker that she wouldn't buy the food because she didn't want to get fat like most Americans. She said, " I don't want to look like you." The customers try to take the samples while you are trying to cut them or prepare them. The pay isn't distributed fairly. There are many employees that get the easy work such as handing out candy, cookies, chips etc. because they either can't cook or are too old to handle the tough jobs. The rest of us have to cook raw chicken, raw Salmon, pork and other meats and deal with the stress of keeping everything sanitary and clean while the customer complains that they have to wait for the sample. There are times when we are required to demo multiple products at the same time while other just have to put chips in a cup.
