Pros

The patients are wonderful, manage your own schedule, many of the employees are wonderful people and the clinical coordinators are generally supportive. Pay per visit is awesome when you have a full caseload.

Cons

Used to be a ton of autonomy but that's being increasingly replaced by micromanagement. I was there for a long time and was never sure who my direct supervisor was. If I made a mistake I'd hear about it from 3-5 people in the office. Non clinical staff provide feedback on clinical issues. New hires without a background in home health promised training that doesn't exist. During orientation you will be lucky to get 20 hours per week for the first 2 months. After that, you may work 60 hours one week and then only 20 for a month. No job security. WORST benefits I've ever encountered in healthcare. No $ for license renewal or CEUs. You have to use your PTO for holidays and don't get holiday pay for working holidays. pay per visit is awful if census is low. Don't recommend for anyone with a mortgage to pay.

Pros

Assisted living portion is easy. The facility is nice. Managers and head of nursing seem to actually care about the people in the assisted living portion.

Cons

They do not care about certain portions of their company like the people in memory care. We do tasks that put us and residents at risk because we have no choice and no matter how much we complain it does change. Letters have been written to head of nursing, office staff and even the heads of the company and nothing changes. We could provide such a higher level of care to the residents in memory care if we were properly staffed and didn’t have people to care for that should be in skilled nursing. The pay is also not great.
