Pros
The company still invests in employee engagement activities, which is rare in today’s corporate environment. There are company-wide events and initiatives that genuinely make the workplace feel more connected and fun. Many colleagues are hardworking, supportive, and committed to doing the right thing.
Cons
Since the new CEO arrived, work-life balance has taken a noticeable downturn. She appears to operate around the clock and sets an expectation, directly or indirectly, that others do the same. It’s become common to receive emails at extremely early or late hours, and the pace and volume have both escalated significantly. While I appreciate strong leadership and a desire to make improvements, the current approach is unsustainable. Many employees are exhausted, morale is dropping, and the constant pressure to be “always on” is creating a stressful and unhealthy work environment. The CEO has not been here in this position long, but the disruption to normal working hours and the lack of boundaries are already having a major impact on teams across the organization. This leadership style is creating burnout across teams, even though the CEO has only been in the role for a short time.
