The CM nurse team leader demonstrated toxic leadership. Communication was often disrespectful, access to essential tools was inconsistently provided, in a bid to sabotage- and meetings frequently turned into “gotcha” moments. She demanded loyalty- miss that, and you’ve got a target on your back. She also spoke negatively about other leaders within a small inner circle, a tactic that seemed aimed at consolidating influence. These behaviors contributed to a broader culture of blame and toxicity and high turnover where staff felt the need to operate with constant caution.
