Business Outlook
Pros
Working from home. Flexibility on hours worked. Pay was less than the industry standard but it balanced out when you factor no transportation cost, clothing and meals since you are a remote worker.
Cons
Working from home as a remote claims arbitrator seemed to be an ideal job but the work load was dependent upon cases provided to the company from insurance companies in which they have contracts. In less than a year, the workload started to trickle in and EXL was not able to maintain their remote staff. The most devistating part is there was no real notice or preparation for the layoff and the company made promises prior to hiring a group that they forecast an increase in business.
