Pros

The benefits are great, with full medical, dental, vision, and so on immediately on starting. The work is minimal on stress.

Cons

Office open on Christmas Eve. Extremely high average age of employees. Oct 30, 2019 laid off 24 people. 2 people have quit and they are not being replaced. Nature of this industry is stopping. Everything is on-line not in print. Magazines are stopping. Sure more lay offs are coming. Many employees involved in the most recent waves of lay-offs had worked there well over 20-25 years. If you are not in a the "good 'old white guy" club, you will not move up. No women/ no one of color in upper management. Management is terrible. Consistently makes bad decisions based on a buddy system. Most older employees know less but are valued more. Young employees have no place to move up due to behind the back plans in place for people who don't deserve promotions. Pay is lower than companies near by. There is no incentive to work hard. You are paid the same as your worst fellow associates.Extremely low salary increases (2%)

Pros

- Welcoming team members and plenty of colleagues who have been there for a long time - The company itself is incredibly interesting and diverse in addition to Japanese culture - Always something new and exciting happening - Corporate missions you can feel connected to - Business outlook is very optimistic

Cons

- Payscales could be improved to meet industry standards - Option to roll over PTO would be a nice added benefit - Some internal processes could be modernized
