Pros
Strong brand recognition in the public safety space and a mission that initially feels meaningful. Some talented frontline employees who are trying their best despite the environment. Although most are gone.
Cons
Leadership is one of the most toxic I’ve experienced in my career. There is a clear disconnect between executive messaging and what actually happens on the ground. Decisions are often made based on politics rather than merit, and nepotism is very real, especially when it comes to promotions and influence at the top levels. It’s not uncommon to see individuals advance quickly due to relationships rather than performance. There is also a growing issue with product quality. Many of the newer or “emerging” products feel rushed to market and are not ready for real-world use. This creates frustration internally and erodes trust externally with customers. Another concern is the company’s online reputation. A noticeable number of recent five-star reviews do not reflect the reality of the workplace. They feel coordinated and lack the nuance you would expect from genuine employee feedback. Morale has taken a hit as a result of all of the above. There’s a culture of pressure without support, and little accountability at the leadership level.
