Pros

This job pays pretty well I suppose and is not too demanding (although some expectations are totally unrealistic.) The cafeteria here makes really delicious burger on most Fridays. Free French roast coffee and chai tea!

Cons

There are so many cons that I am afraid to start listing them. Toxic. Dysfunctional. Absurdly poor communication and leadership. Finger pointing on a grand scale. Idle threats being made by my immediate supervisor toward 'the team.' Gaslighting. Long standing feuds between employees that effect work getting done. Haphazard 'training.' Hopelessly outdated computer systems and software. Gaslighting. Favoritism. Hypocritical managers and co-workers. Gaslighting. Building is falling apart, literally. Absentee supervisor, management and HR. Favoritism. Lack of supervision. Pointless meetings every morning. Hypocrisy. Gaslighting. Idle threats. Useless HR. Haphazard 'training.' Favoritism. Protocols blatantly ignored. Favoritism. Supervisor asking me to evaluate other employees and then told not to fear retribution, despite supervisor never being in the room.

Pros

Pros Competitive pay compared to similar roles in the area. 9/80 schedule provides every other Friday off. Aerospace and defense work can be technically interesting and meaningful. Opportunity to learn different systems and processes across the organization.

Cons

Cons Lack of standardization between sites and departments can create confusion. Roles, responsibilities, and ownership are not always clearly defined. Training and onboarding can vary depending on the team. Communication and direction from leadership can sometimes be inconsistent. Frequent process differences make it difficult to establish a single source of truth.
