Cons

1) dry promoting 2) quiet firing and constructive discharge 3) layoffs 4) cronyism and nepotism 5) failing organizational design 6) toxic culture 7) poor work-life balance 8) takes 4 years tenure to reach market average PTO and five years for full vesting 9) no dedicated Chief People Officer 10) low board visibility to anyone lower than VP; same chair during the worst years we’ve had as employees; every senior leader that leaves cites the board as the reason—severe imbalance of control 11) antiquated technologies—upgrades coming at the cost of outsourcing 12) set-to-fail incentive structure 13) loss of focus on caring for members 14) authoritarian leadership style is the most prevalent 15) Gaslighting and micro aggressions 16) collapse of psychological safety 17) misogynistic, particularly related to promotions, leadership, and recognition 18) poor Gallup trends 19) dishonesty and back-stabbing at executive level 20) loss of high-integrity leaders the last 2-3 years has left GEHA in shambles 21) benefits are cut significantly every year (retirement, bonuses, medical plans, incentives, etc.)
