Pros
- Remote work for most corporate roles - Work/life balance is mostly good - Brand is still very cool - People are cool and work is interesting for the most part
Cons
- Salaries have not kept up with the rest of the market, total comp is terrible (no bonuses, no 401k match) and the equity they offer is pretty much worthless now since the business is not doing well (see next point) - They've done 3-4 big layoffs in the last year because the business is struggling. Tariffs have really impacted the company - I saw the company make a bunch of dumb promotion/hiring decisions which led to them hiring too many employees. They constantly passed over existing employees in favor of hiring outside employees for much more money, and then at the end of the day they would keep the more expensive employees because they had sunk cost fallacy. - Execs are pretty clueless it seems. They're all first time execs so they likely don't have the experience to navigate the current environment. Also they have no emotional connection to their employees - they will keep their friends employed and then will let you go with no notice and not let you communicate with your team after. Overall there's not much reason to join the company since they are struggling so much and the leadership hasn't really shown they know how to work their way out of it. I feel bad cuz a lot of it wasn't their fault but they also made a lot of dumb decisions
