Pros

Met some good people there. 24/7 gym

Cons

“We will never outsource”. “We don’t do layoffs”. Well guess what 2 things they are doing now? Rob brags about employee growth in his annual bragging session, then lays off 100 people with more to come, all while pretty much printing money. All ops employees are severely underpaid, while doing the work of 3 people. He is inching closer to being a $2B company and the only ones who get a piece of that are the frat boy sales teams or the lucky few that were with him when he started Granite. The WFH policy has had 3 final revisions so far, yet changes once a year. They say having people in the office is good for morale and team work. News flash, all the departments are pitted against each other and hate each other. The only reason they want everyone in the office is because they have all the cameras to watch your every move. Not a fan of mice, then you should definitely stay away. The place has had a mouse problem for 20 years and when it was brought up a recent town hall meeting, Rob brushed it off. “We are moving to another building in 8 months, deal with it. You wouldn’t fix the porch if you already sold the house” pretty sure the board of health would have a field day. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
