Pros

- Great coworkers - Easy to get hired if you "fit the culture" - Casual interview process - A place to get some experience so you can apply to other companies and actually start your career

Cons

- Far below competitive pay. Left for an entry level position at another company and tripled my salary - Slow PTO accrual - No sick days - Average of 7 annual holidays - Management will fire you for bringing up honest concerns, in a 1 on 1 setting - Management pushes culture that they do not follow - Asks for unpaid overtime due to improper planning at deadlines (also encourages you to bring your family and kids to come and also provide unpaid labor!) - Stigma against remote/hybrid schedules - Raises are rare and insignificant - Wants you to improve their product without giving the time to do anything other than push it out the door as quickly as possible - Tells new hires to leave Glassdoor reviews during their onboarding (as if a review from someone during their first week is at all reflective on how it is to work at the company) - All departments expected to take out trash, clean bathrooms, etc, if they currently don't have anyone hired to do so. You will be expected to "be a team player" and pick up the slack, even though they could raise the pay for the position or temporarily hire a cleaning service until the position is filled - Management claimed they want to improve retention, but instead of improving they decided to fire an entire department. This has happened multiple times with my department, which is why I would avoid coming here for a role in game development - Lack of job security (see above) - Management will laugh at your ideas in a meeting in front of peers - Management will not know your name, even if you have worked there for 2 years - Awkward and uncomfortable comments often made by people in management, including HR. Leads to scenarios where nothing can be done or you're the problem - Men have 2 standard public bathrooms, everyone else has to share 2 single person bathrooms - No clear path for career growth, promotions can be promised "soon" while months pass

Pros

Co Workers are some of the best people I have worked with

Cons

Leadership is incredibly narcissistic and demands an almost cult like devotion to their specific desires, which change whenever the wind blows. They shove their religion down everyone's throat, expect everyone to memorize their company values and recite them at the drop of a hat or else be chastised. They preach the company is a family and fire people with little to no reason. They often gloat on how much overtime they can get their unpaid interns to work, while bragging about taking the company jet to places around the country to go gamble.
