Pros

Some talented employees and a mission you can get behind.

Cons

I worked at White Ops for many years and was recently let go post-acquisition, with the reason they were going "in a different direction." This rather oddly happened right after my stellar employee review. The strangest and most disappointing part is, HR and Legal were unwilling to alter anything in the separation paperwork, including my request that I be allowed to tell people I left on my own accord, to help make it easier for me to find new employment in the middle of a global pandemic. I was stunned after giving over five years of service, many of those years working over 70 hours a week, that they simply wouldn't budge, even on an ask that had nothing to do with money, which would help someone that had worked so hard for them for so long. After being so dedicated to the company over the years, this lack of empathy and humanity still doesn't make sense to me. I so loved the White Ops mission that I always found a way to power through the bad times. Management has consistently been less than stellar. I was bullied often over the years by my manager and more recently a direct report, but I always stuck it out to continue working with my favorite coworkers and clients. I still don't really know what to make of it all. When you give so much of your heart and soul to something, it's a really sad way for it to end.

Pros

- Benefits and stipends - Pay - (Some) people :)

Cons

There are too many to name. If you're thinking of joining HUMAN Security, don't. There is no strategy, no direction, Product functions like a mess and there's too much coddling. The company feel overly reactive, priorities shift quickly and teams are expected to adjust in real time. Cross functional alignment is not always strong, which can create confusion around ownership, timelines, and decision making. Depending on the team, communication from leadership may not always provide enough clarity on long term strategy, leaving employees to navigate ambiguity more than they should. At times, high performers can end up carrying a disproportionate amount of the operational load, especially in roles that sit between teams and functions.
