Pros

- Nike discount - Working with fellow 20 year olds allowing for some friends outside of work

Cons

There were a number of challenges with this company that ultimately made it a VERY difficult place to work long term. The overall culture often felt extremely unprofessional and heavily influenced by favoritism, office politics, and inconsistent management practices rather than clear corporate structure or merit-based decision making. Micromanagement was a frequent issue. Employees were closely monitored over minor details, communication styles, and office attendance, while expectations and enforcement of policies did not feel consistent across teams or leadership levels. Job security also felt uncertain at times. Turnover was incredibly high during my experience there, with frequent organizational changes, restructuring, and shifting team dynamics. If you were let go, they did not give a reason other than “restructuring”. Promotions, raises, and growth opportunities did not always appear tied directly to performance, and employees were not consistently given clear feedback or transparency around decisions. Work-life balance and flexibility have also declined significantly over time, including reduced remote work options and increasing pressure around in-office presence. Compensation and opportunities for advancement could vary widely depending on leadership and department. Management expectations were often difficult to navigate because employees were expected to perform at a very high level without always receiving the guidance, support, or resources necessary to succeed. This created an environment that many employees found stressful and demoralizing over time. There were also instances where workplace boundaries felt blurred, with junior employees sometimes being asked to go pick up the group lunch order or coffees. Overall, the experience negatively impacted morale, confidence, and work-life balance more than any role I’ve ever had. While some individuals had positive experiences, the environment ultimately was not a healthy or sustainable fit for me. THE GRASS IS GREENER ELSEWHERE.

Pros

The holiday party. Oh wait, it’s on a Tuesday or Wednesday so no one can truly enjoy themselves, so nevermind! Absolutely no pros.

Cons

If I could change one thing in my life, it would be working at Haddad Brands. Coming straight out of college and it being your first job, you truly have no idea how warped working there is. The delusion and greed of the family should be studied-the workload and how they treat their employees is inhumane and honestly disgusting. A crash course is the hours are 8:30-5:30-giving them an extra hour of your life for absolutely no reason. You’re looked down upon if you take a break or step out, even just for a minute. You sit in a jail cell, with no windows, for 9 hours a day-elbow to elbow with the person next to you-and cameras watching and tracking your every move. The Haddads actively work to fire people (don’t be mistaken I wasn’t one of those people-getting a new job was probably one of the best days of my life)-who they consider to be ‘C Class Players’ which is anyone who doesn’t dedicate blood, sweat, tears and overtime to them. All you do is make them money but when it comes time for raises, promotions, benefits etc., they can’t put their money where their mouth is. The work is genuinely not even close to manageable-no matter how hard you work-and everything is under a microscope and scrutiny. The work from home days that have now dwindled into basically zero is laughable and there is no work life balance whatsoever. Just know that if you work at Haddad, you will be worked like a dog-no ifs, ands or buts.
