Pros
The benefits are good, especially the medical. The company appears to be doing well with their products, and they recently had an acquisition.
Cons
You are expected to always be working, there is no work/life balance. Holidays, weekends, doesn’t matter. You get very little if any recognition for your hard work. There are a select few who are always in good favor, and those people help to criticize others, even if they are not in high level positions themselves. Women are definitely favored in the organization.
Some managers don’t take well to questions, suggestions, or criticism. If you are working for one of these managers, just keep your head down and complete assignments without question, or you will be out the door.
There is a real fear of the CEO throughout the company. I’ve never experienced anything like it anywhere else I have worked. I’ve not worked for her directly but I have heard of individuals being fired because they didn’t want to work on Sundays and holidays, or did not complete extremely difficult assignments in short timeframes.
