Pros

Every single employee at Halozyme really does care about what they do. The direction of Halozyme was geared towards practical and stable solutions

Cons

There’s limited growth with modern technologies considering the business model. If you’re an individual that is rooted in process, this role is great.

Pros

Great colleagues and employees, beautiful location, fair compensation. Despite culture issues with CEO, place is running well.

Cons

Fear based, contradictory leadership. CEO preaches accountability and challenging status quo, but when you do, you are thrown in a pit of fire. DEI initiatives involves all hiring wyt woman in most leadership roles, so not diverse at all.

Real fear culture. I’ve never experienced anything like it.

Pros

The benefits are good, especially the medical. The company appears to be doing well with their products, and they recently had an acquisition.

Cons

You are expected to always be working, there is no work/life balance. Holidays, weekends, doesn’t matter. You get very little if any recognition for your hard work. There are a select few who are always in good favor, and those people help to criticize others, even if they are not in high level positions themselves. Women are definitely favored in the organization. Some managers don’t take well to questions, suggestions, or criticism. If you are working for one of these managers, just keep your head down and complete assignments without question, or you will be out the door. There is a real fear of the CEO throughout the company. I’ve never experienced anything like it anywhere else I have worked. I’ve not worked for her directly but I have heard of individuals being fired because they didn’t want to work on Sundays and holidays, or did not complete extremely difficult assignments in short timeframes.
