Pros
Great culture, amazing people, Hunter is a truly 'feel-good' work place. You'll have a hard time finding such a nice, friendly place to work anywhere else. Also, health and fitness is encouraged, gym is new, well equipped, well maintained, and well staffed. Everyone from line workers to senior management is extremely friendly. Hard to beat all of that, which is why most people stay for so long (average tenure is 12-15 yrs). Plus the location (San Diego) means great place to live.
Cons
Salary is below average, despite what HR says. Opportunity for growth is close to none, unless you want to stay for 15 years, even then many employees rarely see opportunities for promotion or growth. Average merit increase is only a point or two greater than inflation, so raises are slim. The innovation 'engine' is lacking, as the culture is severely risk averse.
