Pros

The company has great flexibility with salaried employees time, nice on-site amenities (gym/day care/Walgreens/Doctor onsite).

Cons

Since the RonJon era, the company has gone downhill fast. Working in the IT arena with the new CIO and her circle of trust, it became unbelievable stressful. New management has no desire to help employees grow their careers. Their focus is bottom line PERIOD. Slashing costs (headcount), early retirement, placing people on improvement plans for no reason other than to get them terminated or moved to another area, no direction, moving jobs over to India; these are just a few of the items witnesses during my tenure. If you are in IT looking at working at JCP; you have been warned. There are so many other opportunities in the DFW area where you will be treated with respect; why take the chance at JCP?

Pros

If you like working early morning hours and getting off early in the afternoon (which I do) this is a great part-time job. I was a college student when I worked here so it worked perfectly with my schedule. The pay is pretty decent and the people you work with are friendly.

Cons

Only real downside is that it's retail. You're going to run into some rude customers from time to time. There's always work to do and not enough time given to do it sometimes. But as long as you work hard and managers see that you're trying your best there isn't too much pressure put on you.
