Pros

The IT department cannot be better.

Cons

Do you like to have metrics and goals to meet without proper training? Do you like to be surrounded by unqualified coworkers (no science background or experience) that are personal friends with the higher administration? Do you like to have more studies to lead as an entry level employee than a senior level navigator? Do you like to remain in your hired position with no promotion, unless you fight for it for weeks on end? Do you like to consistently ask for assistance and training on specific tasks, to then be asked why you are not meeting goals? Do you like to be promised supplies and materials but are met with reasons as to why there are none or why it's been delayed (office space, needles, gloves, biohazard boxes, etc.)? Do you like to have site level management choose "favorite" employees, and show this by rewarding mediocrity? Do you like to have site level management gloat about being personally invested in the company, therefore they are 'never going anywhere so deal with it'? Do you want to forgo maternity/paternity leave by substituting it for short term disability? Do you like to collaborate with another company, Greater Gift, only to find out the board members are the same as the companies higher admin.? Our site went from over 20 employees to roughly 4 in a matter of 3 or 4 months. The company is just now seeing a need to add additional employees... with 4 employees and roughly 20 studies (some in startup and maintenance). The goal of the company is one with resonance - clinical research as a care option. However, to the higher admin. that translates to 'which studies can make the most money' - and you are expected to make that goal no matter what is thrown your way.

Pros

I can’t say enough about this company. It feels incredibly special to be a part of an organization with such an impactful and innovative mission. My coworkers are incredible, there are tons of opportunities for career growth and mobility, benefits/pay is far above average in the industry, and our leaders are inspirational.

Cons

With any new org or even a company breaking norms, there are bound to be growing pains. Many of the poor reviews here are from jaded former employees that were unfortunately laid off years ago… what is failed to be mentioned is that our industry as a whole suffered significantly that year and lay offs took place across most of the industry overall. Not Javara’s fault…. Other networks had to close their doors completely and often laid off exponentially more people

Pros

-Meaningful mission with best corporate leadership team I have seen in my 10 years in research -Fast-paced challenging environment where you are empowered to grow and push yourself; lots of opportunity to bring your new ideas to the table -Competitive pay and although I have had 5 managers in my 4 years, each one has been exceptional -CEO has an incredible track record and very well respected in the industry, getting to work below her is a privilege -It is a complex business model that is very exciting to be a part of

Cons

-There has historically been a divide between site operations and corporate teams, although communication has improved over time. Some site-based staff feel their perspectives are not always fully heard; however, many corporate team members have direct site operations experience and understand the realities of the work. The organization maintains opportunities for employees to raise concerns and provide input, but engagement with those channels can be inconsistent. There is a strong focus on accountability and high standards, which may not align with every employee’s expectations. -While many people are collaborative and mission-driven, there are times when a small number of disengaged employees create an unproductive tone, and clearer expectations around professionalism, accountability, and respectful communication would be beneficial -Some employees appear checked out and may be quick to blame ‘corporate’ rather than use available channels to raise concerns constructively
