Pros

This company does not do anything well.

Cons

The rules and expectations are constantly changing without any form of notice. They do not take feedback and make changes on it. They harp on how important it is to meet our bottom lines but they have people who have never worked in clinical research setting the numbers in our contracts that are unreasonable and half of the time don't even make sense mathematically. The company as a whole does not meet its numbers at any site and makes the issue about us instead of the people who are making unobtainable goals. They constantly promise promotions and raises but they take months and months to actually get implemented if they ever even do. The higher ups are extremely out of touch with what is going on and show no interest in figuring out how to help our sites meet recruitment numbers besides telling us to work more. Don't work for them.

First and foremost, we are concerned to learn about the frustrations you have encountered. We acknowledge there have been times when unexpected changes were made to accommodate growth and understand how that could result in such challenges. As this is not indicative of the employee experience we aim to provide, we also recognize this feedback as an opportunity to reflect on the importance of clear, timely communication. Moving forward, we are striving to provide streamlined communications with clarity around when changes will occur, why they are necessary, and how they will produce a positive impact. We are also developing processes to better implement new initiatives by executing them in a timely manner. Knowing there will be times that we must adapt to encourage growth, we will strive to provide the appropriate change management for such transitions. We truly appreciate this feedback and have shared it with senior leadership. Our site operations staff make our mission of reaching more patients and advancing clinical research possible; therefore, feedback of this nature is crucial to change. We welcome open dialogue if there are specific challenges or details you would like to discuss further, in which case you are encouraged to contact the HR team at HR@javararesearch.com.

Pros

The IT department cannot be better.

Cons

Do you like to have metrics and goals to meet without proper training? Do you like to be surrounded by unqualified coworkers (no science background or experience) that are personal friends with the higher administration? Do you like to have more studies to lead as an entry level employee than a senior level navigator? Do you like to remain in your hired position with no promotion, unless you fight for it for weeks on end? Do you like to consistently ask for assistance and training on specific tasks, to then be asked why you are not meeting goals? Do you like to be promised supplies and materials but are met with reasons as to why there are none or why it's been delayed (office space, needles, gloves, biohazard boxes, etc.)? Do you like to have site level management choose "favorite" employees, and show this by rewarding mediocrity? Do you like to have site level management gloat about being personally invested in the company, therefore they are 'never going anywhere so deal with it'? Do you want to forgo maternity/paternity leave by substituting it for short term disability? Do you like to collaborate with another company, Greater Gift, only to find out the board members are the same as the companies higher admin.? Our site went from over 20 employees to roughly 4 in a matter of 3 or 4 months. The company is just now seeing a need to add additional employees... with 4 employees and roughly 20 studies (some in startup and maintenance). The goal of the company is one with resonance - clinical research as a care option. However, to the higher admin. that translates to 'which studies can make the most money' - and you are expected to make that goal no matter what is thrown your way.

Pros

Pay is decent to make your life miserable.

Cons

Everything from office management to distasteful and miserable coworkers. Take your experience elsewhere unless you just want the depression seriously, I wouldn't even waste a breathe on these people because it's a waste of time. I have NEVER seen so many deviations done collectively on one study in my life. A vaccine study at that. No knowledge of an ICF process , The PI's are LAZY but Money hungry. That shows you these people don't know what they're doing and will take any study to save the sinking ship. Let me not get started on how these people can't even draw labs. like.. what?? Everyone is "Academic" but no real experience.. Good luck with that.
