Pros
Jovie hired me when I was fresh out of college desperately trying to find a job in a job market that is currently struggling in our country today. Without them, I would have had to move back home and no longer live close to my fiancé, so I am so grateful for them. Here are some pros of the organization: - Other nannies and staff are SUPER kind and supportive! - Very flexible hours where you are able to input your own times. - The MyJovie App (while having a few complications) is amazing and relatively easy to navigate. - You NEVER feel like you have to take care of family’s children if you are uncomfortable. While it doesn’t happen often, you can run into a family that gives you a hard time, and the organization makes sure you are not paired with them again if you express your concerns. - Jovie of North Texas is an organization made up of individuals that aren’t just coworkers, we are a community of friends and acquaintances always willing to help each other out! We even have special outings where we meet more of our coworkers and bond. :)
Cons
There are not many cons I have about Jovie of North Texas, and those that I have are completely understandable, but should be addressed. - If you are a full-time employee, you do not get health insurance. This is a bit hard for me since it’s causing me to look for another job that has insurance while working with them. - The MyJovie App has occasional glitches, but when it does, Jovie is on it! The other complaint I have about the MyJovieApp is that it doesn’t allow you to copy/paste client phone numbers or addresses, so I’ve manually input them in my phone or my GPS app. - Getting consistent hours, like specifically 8hrs a day, can be challenging if you are not a nanny for a specific family, but that’s just part of the job sometimes.
