Pros

It was the best feeling putting in my 2 weeks notice. A huge weight was taken off my shoulders, but even doing everything by the books, you still get treated like a peasant.

Cons

Worked like a dog. Treated poorly. Nit picked about everything. Extremely abusive work environment. Worked as an insurance verification specialist. Was forced to do atleast 20 to 30+ patients daily. That's checking their benefits, creating their file and filling it up with all their paperwork and information, and then calling them to make sure everything is in their file is entered correctly, make sure they know their benefits, the cost of their visit and their appointment time and location as well as explain any preparation they may have.

Pros

- I had some absolutely amazing coworkers that definitely shaped my learning experience. - I also had great patient interactions that changed me for the better. - A lot of helpful, kind people here that will make you feel at home.

Cons

- Pay is abysmal. Pay is not listed on job description on purpose, often misleading people who apply. - Training is not sufficient at all. When things went wayward, instead of coaching, there was scolding by leadership. Not only does this put workers at risk, it also puts patients at risk as well. - I was asked to do things that were not part of the job description. I did not learn about these things until my very first day, extremely misleading. - Extremely conservative area, so many of the workers are similar. Racism, homophobia, anti-immigration is seen as normal for many here, and this pertains to both workers and patients. If you are a minority of ANY kind, be careful here. - Favoritism is also a big issue with management, and this would impact things such as scheduling. If you are not "liked" by management, that could mean bad reviews, limited hours, and extra scrutiny pertaining to similar mistakes other coworkers are making. Must be willing to play the "please like me" game to survive here.
