Pros
- Decent pay compared to similar jobs in town
Cons
When I first started working here, Loenbro took good care of employees. We were in a smaller building, but everyone got along well and people weren’t actively going out of their way to treat others poorly. Sometime in 2016, things started changing. The owners acquired multiple companies, a race team, and later an environmental services group in the south. They seemed to put very little thought or research into what they were doing and Loenbro started hurting financially. Cost saving measures to fix this included: - taking drinking water away from the head office (the water in the building doesn’t pass tests and smells awful) - Taking away Kleenex from the head office - Furloughing administrative workers During this “cost saving” period they were still utilizing the company plane, kept funding a race team, and provided the executive wing with bottled water (still do, although I notice the rest of the employees are left hanging). They also threw a Christmas party that cost a couple thousand dollars immediately after furloughing all of the workers. If you are part of the friends or family circle, you are well taken care of. If you are anyone else, you are nothing but a doormat in the eyes of Loenbro. The company loves to tout their core values, but don’t bother following any of them. The owners seem baffled every time a long term employee leaves. To say they are a bit out of touch with what goes on with the people keeping Loenbro running would be putting it nicely. The people at the head of the company love broadcasting their religious beliefs, like a shield that makes them above reproach. Perhaps it is time they pick up their bibles and review the material, particularly Luke 6:31.
