Pros

- Decent pay compared to similar jobs in town

Cons

When I first started working here, Loenbro took good care of employees. We were in a smaller building, but everyone got along well and people weren’t actively going out of their way to treat others poorly. Sometime in 2016, things started changing. The owners acquired multiple companies, a race team, and later an environmental services group in the south. They seemed to put very little thought or research into what they were doing and Loenbro started hurting financially. Cost saving measures to fix this included: - taking drinking water away from the head office (the water in the building doesn’t pass tests and smells awful) - Taking away Kleenex from the head office - Furloughing administrative workers During this “cost saving” period they were still utilizing the company plane, kept funding a race team, and provided the executive wing with bottled water (still do, although I notice the rest of the employees are left hanging). They also threw a Christmas party that cost a couple thousand dollars immediately after furloughing all of the workers. If you are part of the friends or family circle, you are well taken care of. If you are anyone else, you are nothing but a doormat in the eyes of Loenbro. The company loves to tout their core values, but don’t bother following any of them. The owners seem baffled every time a long term employee leaves. To say they are a bit out of touch with what goes on with the people keeping Loenbro running would be putting it nicely. The people at the head of the company love broadcasting their religious beliefs, like a shield that makes them above reproach. Perhaps it is time they pick up their bibles and review the material, particularly Luke 6:31.

Pros

Fantastic culture and opportunities in this rapidly growing company. If you get your foot in the door and put in the work, leadership opportunities are there.

Cons

Can be high stress at times due to the pace of growth. That said, the environment is such that you are never grinding alone. Management has committed to adding significant resources which we’ve already seen in motion.

Pros

Fairly social atmosphere with basic office themes, parties, birthdays, holidays.

Cons

Politically charged and religious environment. Gave my phone number to 3rd party chaplain to text me after I posted about my job experience on LinkedIn and had left the company months prior. Bonus structure antiquated, non merit based. Boss calling you after 9pm to hype up 1.5% bonus. As an IT office worker 50 percent of PTO/Vacation days were interrupted and turned into working days driven by phone calls. Complaints ignored. Gut feelings rather than empirical data guiding decisions. Projects abandoned and delayed Forced to work in office, refusal to put in redundant Internet.
