Pros

Due to covid, we are now working remotely. Good coworkers, although I see them all leaving soon.

Cons

It appears a previous post was removed, because it called someone out by name, so it is being reposted with the specific name of the Associate Vice Chancellor of Learning Experience Innovation removed. -Underpaid for our work: average ID starts at 85k and this job pays much less. -Heavily micromanaged: logging in our hours for all projects, sharing all calendar details, and cameras must be on during Zoom meetings. -The AVC and her LSU cronies have made everyone's jobs horrible. It is unclear how she is getting away with this mistreatment. -We've been told that change is difficult and that the brain has a difficult time processing the unknown, but what's happening goes far beyond that logic. The current morale can't be blamed on neuroscience-it's because of the person you hired. -"Upskilling" unqualified workers isn't going to get you out qualified employees.

Pros

The University has taken tangible and meaningful steps toward fulfilling its mission in an increasingly thoughtful and responsible way. There is a genuine commitment among leaders to collaborate more effectively and work together in support of shared goals. The 403(b) match is an outstanding benefit, and the PTO/sick leave offerings are equally strong and greatly appreciated.

Cons

One ongoing challenge is the imbalance between the volume of work and the number of people available to support it. Teams are highly committed, but workloads can at times exceed current staffing capacity.
