Pros
Can be great when you are not hounded for management metrics
Cons
There is always a new excel spreadsheet to add to the list that is a “priority” that you’re hounded to call and update everyday despite having to deal with in person patients, walk ins, carereqs and calls. We are continually reminded to keep calling patients who wish to not be part of OSH despite not being seen for a while leaving us open to verbal abuse over the phone and in person. It is very metric based and VIP/Serious tiers are pushed out to be seen on a monthly basis and when not scheduled per cadence despite availability being poor we are scorned by management expecting to make miracles. You never truly work 8hours it is more like 8.5 to 9 hours especially when closing. It at times feels like there is someone that has to take the blame for OSH flawed system and unfortunately being a welcome coordinator it feels like management finds it easiest to blame WCs for that.
