Deceptive promises made during interview that were never honored when employed. Training is non existent, but you will be held accountable for what you were never thoroughly trained on, be prepared to do a lot of self teaching (Medicare Dept). Individuals in leadership positions who are neither qualified or interested in leading a team that needs guidance. Vindictive style of management, don't voice your concerns, opinions, or have a medical issue that may hinder your job performance, you will be black listed and slowly pushed out the door one counseling at a time. The HR department is not there to support you, they are in place to protect the hospital from YOU, this is why Orlando Health is so anti-union. Team members who "play the game" and inflate the ever growing management ego will be given preferential treatment, those who don't will be plagued with obstacles at every turn; if you complain, you will be black listed, refer to the black listed paragraph above. All of the cons will be delivered with what appears to be a sincere smile and a pleasant demeanor, don't believe the hype, your concerns are a very distant second to managements agenda. There are several scared employees, afraid of losing their jobs. They've been there long enough to know the game, whether they play it or not is irrelevant, they don't want to get terminated so they will throw you under the bus to save their skins or make themselves look more loyal to management. Point is, be careful, there are plenty of good people, but everyone isn't your friend, management will have others talk to you and feed them information, be careful.
