Pros

I’ve had a really positive experience working at Orlando Health as a Product Analyst and Application Admin. The team environment is one of the biggest highlights—people are supportive, approachable, and genuinely willing to help each other out. There’s a strong sense of collaboration across departments, which makes day-to-day work much smoother. I also appreciate how open the organization is to feedback and new ideas, especially when it comes to improving systems and processes. It’s rewarding to know that the work we do on the technical side directly supports patient care and makes a real difference. My manager is always engaged, and there’s a clear focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

Cons

Like any large organization, processes can sometimes move a bit slowly, especially when multiple teams are involved. Priorities can shift, which can be challenging at times, but it’s manageable with good communication.

Pros

- Steady work - Lots of things to learn - Pleasant co-workers willing to help - Good schedule, days, Monday through Friday - Quiet work atmosphere - Opportunity to work from home - Occasional bonuses for exceeding collection goals (but don't hold your breath)

Cons

Deceptive promises made during interview that were never honored when employed. Training is non existent, but you will be held accountable for what you were never thoroughly trained on, be prepared to do a lot of self teaching (Medicare Dept). Individuals in leadership positions who are neither qualified or interested in leading a team that needs guidance. Vindictive style of management, don't voice your concerns, opinions, or have a medical issue that may hinder your job performance, you will be black listed and slowly pushed out the door one counseling at a time. The HR department is not there to support you, they are in place to protect the hospital from YOU, this is why Orlando Health is so anti-union. Team members who "play the game" and inflate the ever growing management ego will be given preferential treatment, those who don't will be plagued with obstacles at every turn; if you complain, you will be black listed, refer to the black listed paragraph above. All of the cons will be delivered with what appears to be a sincere smile and a pleasant demeanor, don't believe the hype, your concerns are a very distant second to managements agenda. There are several scared employees, afraid of losing their jobs. They've been there long enough to know the game, whether they play it or not is irrelevant, they don't want to get terminated so they will throw you under the bus to save their skins or make themselves look more loyal to management. Point is, be careful, there are plenty of good people, but everyone isn't your friend, management will have others talk to you and feed them information, be careful. Considering the importance of our work, the pay is a joke. (Medicare, hospitals highest payor)

Pros

Good health benefits, kind and humble CEO, opportunity to get up to $500 bonus every year, decent raises, start out at approximately 7 hours of PTO every 2 weeks.

Cons

Some departments are great and some are horrendous. It doesn’t seem like the horrendous ones are being addressed... could have better benefits and a better PTO accrual system. You have to be here for at least 3 years before you get any perks. The decent ones are at 10 years and 25 years.
