Intelligence, honesty, integrity, hard-work, finding creative solutions to difficult problems, saving the company money, none of these matter one iota. You know how you know that your work is valued? Because your boss will just pile more and more on until you're fried. No promotions, not even basic cost of living raises, its a complete disaster in terms of awarding talent. You know who gets promoted and fat raises? The manager types who can't do anything but manage, brownnose, and take credit for your hard work, that's who gets rewarded. There are so many people in management who are complete frauds at this point its a precarious house of cards poised to come crashing down when the talented folks realize they can do much better elsewhere. The office politics at this place are next level and the people making the decisions at the higher levels would rather play those games than learn anything about what their teams are doing so they can provide guidance. Recently they got rid of the generous PTO package and replaced it with this ridiculous "take what you need" format. Sounds great huh? Nope, its been scientifically proven that employees on this kind of plan take less vacation. Plus all vacation is at your boss' discretion so its really not as you need it its as he/she needs it. A complete joke. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone I liked.
