Pros

Your coworkers are incredible. They are truly passionate and skilled and you learn something every day.

Cons

The culture is doing a somersault. The CEO and now senior leadership is enforcing a strict 9-5 work schedule which would be fine if so many of us didn’t put in countless hours after 5pm and on weekends. We have been told that they are tracking our movements during the day and don’t care about what we do off-hours. All of this is happening while we are having a successful year. It’s changing the morale from wanting to put in the extra hours after work to launch amazing products to ‘screw it. Not worth it’. No one likes feeling like they’re in a prison. So when the clock strikes 5, we’re not putting one more minute of work. Top performing friends who have been rated 3 are adopting this same mentality. The culture change is not the Royal Caribbean, the brand that innovates. It is not going to continue leading the way if its people are burnt out and no longer believing in the culture of what makes us the best. On top of all of this, salaries are not competitive. Benefits are standard. Upside of being able to go on a weekend cruise for cheap is not worth it.

Pros

Free cruises are nice, and some individuals are great.

Cons

It’s like working at a hedge fund - toxic culture, degrading leadership, long hours, hard work, no room for growth, etc. Only issue it’s a cruise line, so you have all the negatives without the pay or prestige. Most of their finance department left over the last year. Very large turnover due to incompetence at the director level and up.
