Pros

Insurance is decent and inexpensive, but only if you essentially give away all of your personal data in exchange for a lower rate. They pay for your phone and Internet.

Cons

Whew, where do I begin. Managers are incompetent and don't want to be bothered with training; when you start, they essentially send you a ton of links to company systems and expect you to just figure it out. As a seller, I had no idea what I was doing or what I was selling or what anything was 80% of the time, so I had to improvise and face the consequences later. Anytime I had an urgent issue with a campaign or client, Managers were always slow to respond or just wouldn’t respond, period. Unless a sale was involved, they didn’t want to be bothered. And campaigns ALWAYS had issues because either we were told to sell the wrong strategies and campaigns severely underdelivered, or clients eventually found out how ridiculously expensive our CPMs were versus the competition. It never failed, 1 of the 2 scenarios always happened. Campaign fulfillment is offshore and horrendous; campaigns typically do not fulfill contracted impressions and they use outside vendors for EVERYTHING. I typically did their job for them. If you are serious about digital marketing and digital sales, stay FAR away from this company. They just repackage other companies' products as their own and sell it at a premium, all while leaving you on an island and making you figure everything out on your own.

Pros

I'm proud to be joining an organization that is rooted in Christian and Conservative values. Since my first day, everyone I have met has been extremely warm, welcoming and more than happy to give advice and guidance. I'm confident I'll have an exciting career here at Salem. Plenty of mentorship to be found here. I would also like to note that my interview process was extremely welcoming, informational and personable. Everyone I met with throughout the process was very personable and I knew from the process I'd gain excellent mentorship if given the opportunity to join the team. I'm eager to learn and grow with this team.

Cons

No cons for me at this point.

Pros

Great supportive local environment, people called to work there to support the mission.

Cons

Corporate digital leadership is disjointed and systems are chaotic. Actual delivered campaigns are inevitably flawed and mis managed. Retaliatory, narcisstic, abusive corporate digital leadership. Constant systems changes and zero assistance in navigating. More and more digital agency and other jobs outsourced to Asia. Salespeople are exhausted and burned out by programs failing. Zero accountability taken by Ad Ops team for mistakes or extrene lag time in responses from internal automated systems. Salary cuts to 'help the company' plays on the mission minded employees, taking advantage of employees good intentions by underpaying them compared to industry. No 401K match.
