Pros

Competitive salary & benefits...not much else

Cons

So much turnover at every level of the company. No leadership or vision. All about superficial appearances. The few labs I interacted with who seemed to be doing well independently from the HQ chaos eventually have all folded or disbanded. Only men in leadership positions. Only Yes Men are promoted. Constant reshuffling every year to avoid accountability. Clash of cultures between Korea and America. Samsung isn't interested in the long term development of global employees, only uses satellite labs to train employees back at HQ. Working here is in violation of your soul. Don't do it!!!!

Thank you for the review. I am disappointed to hear about your troubling experience with HQ in South Korea. We are constantly working to improve communications between our U.S. and Korean offices. SRA is committed to driving new innovation and investing in our talent. Therefore, I am sorry that you have not had this experience. We are working very hard to bridge the cultural differences you have described.

Pros

Samsung is a place where you grow quickly — sometimes because you want to, sometimes because you have to. The pace is intense, but the learning curve is unmatched. The people are smart, driven, and genuinely care about building great products. The cross‑cultural environment can be challenging at times, but it also makes you a stronger communicator and operator. If you’re adaptable, curious, and energized by global teamwork, you’ll thrive here.

Cons

Priorities can shift overnight, and you need to be comfortable with constant change. Meetings with Korea can stretch your day. Some teams still operate with a top‑down culture, which may feel rigid if you’re used to Silicon Valley‑style autonomy.

Pros

Folks are often respectful but very stressed beneath the surface. Good coffee machines.

Cons

Terrible culture. No direction. Everyone is trying to justify their existence. Unfortunately, go/no go decisions are made top down, and top often means HQ. Very cold. You can get fired a random morning despite stellar performance. Always working toward a PowerPoint to show you’re not useless. Always in a rush, always org shifts, always budget cuts, always catching up at night. Disdain is rampant. The worst culture I’ve ever set foot on. Folks from other SV companies regret moving here.
