Pros

Good pay (see cons on why the pay is good), cheap food.

Cons

Where do I begin? I could write a book. They lied to me about the culture when I referenced Glassdoor reviews. They lied to me about projects and priorities. The day I walked in to work on Day 1 it's nothing like I was promised. The world is controlled by clueless Koreans. They don't know jack about product development. There is no process for decision making. It random at best. The so called "top management" gets hired for 2 years at a time. So they just do whatever to keep extending their tenure. There is no rationale behind anything. No trust. No empathy. No nothing. I mean literally nothing. The result is people work there only for the money. No one has any passion for the product or customer or company whatsoever. They have to pay people a ton of money to put up with this and it's not necessarily a good thing. This place is full incompetent people and incompetent processes. I wonder how they're managing to sell products. I hear horror stories of racial discrimination from other employees. I wish I hadn't joined Samsung. Don't kill your career. You will be humiliated to the core. Don't sell your soul.

These are very serious and troubling allegations. While this review is not representative of our culture, I take this allegation very seriously. Making sure we have a safe and supportive workplace is our top priority, and it would be helpful if you will confidentially contact me or our legal team.

Pros

Samsung is a place where you grow quickly — sometimes because you want to, sometimes because you have to. The pace is intense, but the learning curve is unmatched. The people are smart, driven, and genuinely care about building great products. The cross‑cultural environment can be challenging at times, but it also makes you a stronger communicator and operator. If you’re adaptable, curious, and energized by global teamwork, you’ll thrive here.

Cons

Priorities can shift overnight, and you need to be comfortable with constant change. Meetings with Korea can stretch your day. Some teams still operate with a top‑down culture, which may feel rigid if you’re used to Silicon Valley‑style autonomy.

Pros

Folks are often respectful but very stressed beneath the surface. Good coffee machines.

Cons

Terrible culture. No direction. Everyone is trying to justify their existence. Unfortunately, go/no go decisions are made top down, and top often means HQ. Very cold. You can get fired a random morning despite stellar performance. Always working toward a PowerPoint to show you’re not useless. Always in a rush, always org shifts, always budget cuts, always catching up at night. Disdain is rampant. The worst culture I’ve ever set foot on. Folks from other SV companies regret moving here.
