Pros

International culture and trips to Europe

Cons

Pay is below the industry standard US support from leadership is minimal There is a gulf between what the pharma group advertises and what can actually be offered. Snake oil sales when it comes to their "global network" and the data it produces No real direction Not well-positioned to be successful due to ability to only generate basic data

Thank you for your feedback. We are continuously looking for ways to improve. We don’t recognize ourselves in your feedback and we’d like to highlight that SOPHIA GENETICS is not a pharma group. We applied a value-based approach. We respect your point of view.

Pros

The people. A job, and ultimately a career is built by the people you work with, and SG has some of the most amazing people I have ever worked with or for. I am inspired by the hard work of my colleagues here who constantly challenge me to be my best. Everyone here is in a position to contribute beyond their job description, which (to me) makes every day interesting and keeps me motivated. Working with teams across the globe.

Cons

As an organization still very much in the entrepreneurial phase, prospective employees need to consider how much structure they need or are used to. While I personally thrive in less structured, more agile environments, it's not for everyone. We often have to roll up our sleeves and get work done that other, larger, companies often have big teams to assist with. But you have to like owning what you do every day, and knowing that your personal contributions are making a real difference every day. Time zone challenges, too, sometimes are tough to manage.

It’s inspiring to know that you find the work dynamic, motivating, and rewarding. We also appreciate your insights about the entrepreneurial nature of our organization and the challenges it can bring. We recognize that indeed, time zone coordination can be tough and continue to explore ways to improve collaboration across teams.
