Pros

- Office life: I wasn't sold on returning to the office, but they've made it a really lovely experience. I'm not required to come in, just encouraged. I'm enjoying it much more than I anticipated. My meals are taken care of. My transportation needs are covered and flexible - sometimes I take MUNI, sometimes I drive. -On-site culture: Very deliberate about bringing teams together. There are always team on-sites at the office. I appreciate the intentionality in including remote employees. -Products: There's a lot of excitement about the products we're building and how we're pitching ourselves to the market. - AI: We have access to so many AI tools. I think this is a major selling point because my AI fluency is rapidly developing, and Superhuman isn't putting limits on it.

Cons

There's been a lot of change in the last two years. Grammarly acquired Coda, Superhuman Mail, and Rows. Then rebranded to Superhuman. Plus the leadership changes that come with that. You can only imagine the identity crisis that comes with all those changes. It feels like we're starting to come out on the other side, but it's also very clear we're in a moment of change. It can be hard to keep up with all the new products, product changes, and other updates.

Pros

- The people here are genuinely great: motivated, collaborative, and empathetic, but also scrappy and action-oriented when it counts. - There's a real bias toward getting things done without ego and doing what it takes to make the company successful. - The office attendance policy is refreshingly positive: rather than mandating days in, the company incentivizes them with extra benefits, which feels like a meaningful distinction. - Internally, the challenges are legitimately interesting. The company is a mosaic of legacy organizations that merged over the past year, which creates a rich, complex culture to navigate and build on. - The company's ongoing committment to Ukraine is really inspiring, and I'm grateful to have so many phenomenal colleagues who are based in Ukraine and producing exceptional work.

Cons

- It can sometimes feel like we are the underdog compared to the flashier AI companies drawing headlines right now, which affects energy and external perception. - The past 18 months have brought a lot of change, and the pace of that transformation can be fatiguing. - As a matrixed, multi-product company, decision-making can get tangled. Alignment across teams and business lines takes effort, and it can slow things down when speed matters.

Pros

I've grown my career exponentially here — consistently challenged, stretched, and given real ownership. The caliber of colleagues is the highest I've experienced: smart, driven, and genuinely good humans. The culture has real autonomy and accountability. As someone with a young child, it means a lot that flexibility isn't just a policy — I see other leaders with families thriving here too. I have strong confidence in Shishir as CEO; he cares about team members, recognizes that impact comes in many forms, and wants everyone to have a stake in driving the company forward.

Cons

AI and tech aren't the right fit for everyone. You need to be comfortable with ambiguity, be a self-starter, and have high resilience to change. Post-merger, the org is complex — integrating three companies and their products requires company-wide tradeoffs. That's an exciting challenge, but not simple, and some will find it draining.
