Cons
Cons Context: These criticisms are more from a personal preference, and overall the company is a shining example of what an buisness should be. We are only human and thus can never achieve perfection. What follows are a few rare examples of things I don't like. Management can be inconsistent at times. One person says something is fine, but another says it should be different. They mention something that should be done after a long time of doing it differently. Corporate-level training and procedures occasionally seem off and a bit rigid. We are not supposed to ask whether the guests want a photo; instead, we are supposed to just tell them, "Let's take a photo". Certain bits that provide great guest interactions are not allowed. Like much of the corporate world, they seem intent on making sure each location feels the same, without letting each location take ownership of its store and how it feels, without compromising the core of TEG. Hours are inconsistent. Due to the nature of the industry, hours will change the day before, and often I have to leave early as I am not needed, which sucks when it's already a low-paying job based completely on how many hours worked.
