Pros
Helping people, stable work schedule, developing long term customer relationships, networking with vendors, and access to samples of all the latest nutritional supplements.
Cons
The company use to provide alot of payroll hours to disperse among the staff in order to efficiently manage a numerous amount of tasks. With the struggles of the company financially, these hours have been dramatically reduced forcing remaining staff to work twice as hard for the same amount of compensation. Unrealistic expectations on inventory shrinkage with reduced staff and no help with security technology like cameras and sensors. Though it's understandable hours are reduced for the stores as an entirety, the store I managed at is one of the top 5 percent in the nation, never alleviating on the customer traffic. Some stores should maintain higher hours in order to meet the demands of the flow of customers and finish in store tasks. Managers are expected to go above and beyond in getting tasks completed and well as balancing managerial responsibilities. For the mediocre amount of pay, this is not worth it. It is better to apply and work at a lower volume store.
