Note some departments are more prized than others especially those that drive revenue (user growth, creative, partnership, monetization and not a "cost center" (finance, procurement, legal, or admin) to the company. Who you report to will be your life at Tiktok. When you interview, get a good sense of whether you want to report up to your manager. The saying is true: people don't leave jobs, they leave bad bosses. Tiktok as a tech company has tremendous potential with proper organization and structure it can become the top tech company it aspires to be.
