Pros

For those who want to learn and grow their career, this is the place. Leaders genuinely care about us, our customers, and the business. Coworkers are friendly, helpful, and caring. Want to be involved in work projects? Community events? Healthy walks? We have all that. Good pay and benefits.

Cons

We work at a fast pace - if that's not your thing, this isn't your place. We work as a team - if that's not your thing, this isn't your place. We value diversity in every way - if that's not your thing, this isn't your place. The only constant is change - if that's not your thing, this isn't your place.

Pros

Everyone I work with here is great - friendly, dedicated, hard working, professional, but also fun. The company is very aware that their employees are people. They encourage us to use our time off. We have mindfulness trainings. Our medical plan includes things like 8 free therapy sessions and free visits with a lawyer for consults. Also, I genuinely get the sense that Travelers is a good company. We are encouraged to volunteer. When we do, they award us $20 for every hour of community service worked, and that money can be used to donate a charity of our choice. Then, Travelers will match the money that they already gave us. The leadership is working to be zero emissions by 2030 and I believe they will do. It's a great place to work. There are so many different business units, departments, and offices in this company that if your role isn't fulfilling you can probably find another position that will be a good fit. You are also likely to find another office in the country if you have to (or want to) move. The company is very open to people finding the right place for them.

Cons

Everyone has a very full plate. It's not an insurmountable amount of work but it will keep you very busy. We also require at least 3 days per week in office in my region, but honestly, it's nice to back in an office with people. You will likely pay more for benefits here but they have different plans depending on what you're looking for.
