Over the last several years the company as a whole unfortunately has gone severely down hill. When you get to see it from a teachers stand point. They have deducted their pay standards tremendously, the benefits truly aren’t that great (basic benefits just as many corporate jobs), they increase their tuition rates ever year yet pay rates go down for employees??? Maybe this is happening in other childcare companies not sure because I only worked for this specific one. So When you work directly at a learning care group school with a good director that may help some for the fact of how you feel but even then, their hands are tied to an extent when it comes to corporate. Materials where hardly purchased due to the lack of the company wanting to invest back in their schools. It was always “cut the budget” and “cut HPA” and never a thought of “let’s see what we can do to appreciate our employees” and invest in it our schools and their classrooms to help the teachers and staff. I’ll put it this way knowing what I know I would not go back to that company again if I had to choose to work in childcare or be willing to put my child in one of their schools with their tuition rates when the company as a whole truly does not prioritize their families and MOST definitely do not prioritize staff (pay, PTO, benefits) I would have to say I think that corporation should do better considering the amount of money coming in from their schools!!! This is coming from an employee who left on great terms (just decided I wanted to be home with my baby after my maternity leave was up) so this is not from a place of resentment from being let go or quitting for bad reasons just expressing what I truly have noticed over the last several years!
