Pros

Competitive salary, excellent 401k match. Fast paced and intellectually challenging environment when you are able to hide from the army of project managers harassing you for status

Cons

The company has not scaled well. Many bad and unnecessary hires have been added to the organization. Management has zero focus and accountability around culture. A few select individuals carry the project on their shoulders while others take the credit. A recent employee survey was widely known to be very poor however no results were shared with the associate base. Top performers are not valued and are leaving the organization left and right. Large bonuses were given to executives for hitting Release 1 delivery dates at the expense of bonuses to those who actually performed the work. Most of the people who actually know how the application works are planning their exit.

Pros

If you like to switch around onto different teams, they love that and will support horizontal movement with the same pay. Lots of employee engagement opportunities even though it is remote.

Cons

Too much change going on with the FHFA getting too involved. Threatened to bring employees back to the office, then stayed remote again. People got laid off, and instead of hiring more people they just rotate people horizontally instead of promoting people vertically. The amount of projects and work keeps increasing but there is not enough staff to support it, ends up becoming a toxic environment of overworking. No pay boost either, just arbitrary work rewards to appreciate you.
