Pros

Competitive salary and excellent benefits, including 11% 401k contribution, $10/month for full coverage health insurance, commuting and toll reimbursement. Plus the whole company is hybrid, only 2 days a week in office. If you work hard and take the time and energy to get onto new projects, there are plenty of areas for advancement. Most of the people I work with are friendly and good at what they do.

Cons

Like any organization this size, there's a ton of bureaucracy and red tape. It can take a long time to see real change when a team or department starts any process improvement. If you want to get a promotion, you need to get your name on big projects and make time to talk with the right people so that you stand out in a sea of faces. This kind of work environment isn't for everyone, and can be very different if you're coming from a small company.

Thank you for your valuable feedback! USAC strongly supports employees’ professional advancement and encourages employees to seek out new and exciting career challenges through transfers and promotions (such as career advancement promotion or competitive promotion due to position vacancy). We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective on the department's change management approach. Your insight regarding the desire for more granular, time-bound goals is heard and understood. We agree that breaking down larger initiatives into smaller, more manageable pieces can increase focus and produce more direct, measurable impact. We encourage you, and all employees, to continue sharing your ideas with your team, manager, and HRBP.
