CEO Radha Sekar - micromanager with poor leadership skills who thinks she has all the answers. Very poor communication skills who is not respected by employees. HR - ineffective, unhelpful, and break confidentiality. No Growth - where you begin your career at USAC is where you will be when you leave - if hired within the last 5 years. Company tends to promote only those who have been there from nearly the beginning. FCC Communications - frequently misinform the FCC an provide a better picture of what is going on, project costs, etc. - rather than what is truly happening. Management - Never seen a group of managers who are less qualified to manage than I have at this company. Lack of Knowledge Sharing - staff and management who have been with the company for a long period of time do not share knowledge readily, setting new employees (and the programs) up for failure. Ineffective, Toxic, and incapable employees end up staying far longer than they should - in violation of labor laws in some cases. There is no accountability for these employees and they stay at USAC for far too long. Bloated Bureaucracy, poor project management practices, and too many layers of decision-making stalls projects, lead to expensive cost overruns, and significant obstacles for applicants and targeted populations. A very frustrating place to work for conscientious hard-working employees who strive to make a difference.
