Pros
The seniors (residents) made the work rewarding. The benefits (paid holidays, PTO, insurance) made the job bearable.
Cons
Management (or lack thereof) was the most disorganized mess I've ever seen. If there was ever a chance to miss work, it was taken by all of upper management. The elected weekend "manager on duty"(MOD) was rarely in the building. Furthermore, there was more than one occasion where there were no culinary employees due to call offs. (Not my own) Rather than come into work on their day off, management resulted in making the staff who were physically in the building, order pizza for the seniors. (Residents) I was personally injured at work and taken to the emergency room from the Ashford kitchen. Rather than handle it professionally, I was fired due to "unsatisfactory work performance". I have documentation supporting every one of these statements. (Text messages, screenshots, etc.)
