Pros
- I want to believe they are attempting to make positive change. It isn't hard steering a giant ship away from an oncoming iceberg. - There are still some genuine folks. - CEO has good intentions
Cons
- There are a lot of sumo/tibco folks - There really is an 'inner circle' as mentioned in previous comments - Data hygiene is poor - I was forced out. I didn't want to leave, but was strongly implied to go - Growth is in single digits YoY - Individuals have fainting in front of others due to stress lead by above - You can't trust anyone. They will act kind to your face, but trust me many have been let go as their are a lot of 'spies' in every team. Here is the thing, for those who are not happy here. I highly recommend that you move on. The grass is truly greener for those of us who are not part of 'the circle'. My base at my new gig is more than what my base & bonus was at whitehat. I am now treated better, and my confidence is back. I've confirmed this with others who have moved on too - there is this moment of positive emotions that rush out realizing that it was never you, but them. Whitehat has it's way in making you feel like you are a low performer and really cut you deep in poking at the way you dress and the times you are in the office. They are just old-school like that. Those who say they manage based on fear is true, but only true for those they want to push out. This is because they are going through some growth issues and they are trying to turn things around. So naturally, they will stick to the people they trust and push out the loyal. This is a company that has been around the block for some time so yes, change does need to happen. We may not agree with their methods, but at least they are doing something about it. So, if you are not happy, then just move on. Trust me it will make you happier in the long run. You are worth something, and you do have a voice. One guy from the TRC had his salary doubled recently at his new gig and he was with WhiteHat for 5+ years.
