Pros
The people are truly the best part of working at iCIMS. Had the opportunity to work with talented, collaborative, and supportive colleagues across teams, many of whom genuinely care about their work and one another. Compensation and benefits are competitive, and the work-from-home flexibility is a strong positive that helps with work-life balance.
Cons
Unfortunately, the company culture is overshadowed by ongoing and frequent layoffs. I've personally experienced multiple rounds of layoffs, which created a persistent sense of instability and uncertainty. Even high-performing teams are not immune, making it difficult to feel secure or plan long-term. Leadership direction also changes rapidly. There is a pattern of leadership “jumping the gun” on strategic shifts in an effort to stay ahead of competitors, often without clear long-term planning or consistency. This results in frequent pivots, shifting priorities, and reactive decision-making that can be disruptive to teams and morale. The combination of repeated layoffs and rapidly changing direction has significantly impacted employee confidence in the company’s future under current leadership.
