Don't believe the hype...

Pros

The teams a few levels below the C-suite work well together. Free drinks and popcorn, if that is your jam.

Cons

This was the most toxic environment I've ever worked in. The co-founders do not have respect for their teams, are quick to point blame at others, or each other. They openly talk disrespectfully about employees when they are not screaming at each other. There are other companies, both large and small, where you will find challenging work and still be treated with respect.

Pros

I like the people I work with and the location is close to trains and restaurants. The building is also nice.

Cons

Jeff Conlon and Beth Hollenberg have a Dysfunctional work relationship. They argue and fight weekly very loudly. They behave unprofessionally and it scares people. We hear the screaming of cursing bombs, doors slamming and chairs being broken. They have put fear in us. I can hear them talking negatively about people who work here. That means other people hear it too. They are out of touch with employees and no effort to know us. No one ever sees Jeff and when we do he looks the other way. He doesn't acknowledge underlings. Beth Hollenberg threatens to fire people. She intimidates and embarrasses for fun. She makes up false stories in her mind about employees and runs with them even if there is nothing to support it. A couple of employees have tried to reach out to the board. The investors need to intervene and talk with us. Beth Hollenberg is running this company into the ground. No one wants to work for a person like her. Jeff Conlon is clueless or doesn't care. They are both in it for the money. I have overheard her say that she will get rich off this company when it's sold. It comes as no surprise that they only care about more clients and fewer people to do the work. There are plenty of job openings that she won't fill in order to save expenses. We don't have HR or Legal. What company doesn't have an HR person who we can talk to about concerns or a confidential number to express issues. Beth Hollenberg talks negatively about ex employees like it makes her look better and it doesn't. The biggest issue is that clients do not respect Beth Hollenberg. They would rather not tak to her EVER. This is a problem! Many of us are keeping files on what is happening. It's only a matter of time before a lawsuit is filed on the treatment of certain people, how Jeff Conlon belittles and swears and Beth Hollenberg goes on a witch hunt on people. It is all in writing. This is not a stable workplace. If you care about this compan and your job email investors. I am afraid of retaliation so I changed my writing style. How it is written is on purpose. This is sad but true.

Burnout

Pros

The people are amazing. Everyone that works for Everspring is extremely talented, motivated and hard working. Everyone wants to see the company succeed and make friends along the way.

Cons

Certain teams and areas are really getting burnt out. The way the company treats employees is not sustainable. The focus is on the appearance of a cool tech company, but little time and effort is actually placed in bettering the WORK of the employee. Issues and concerns go unnoticed, or if they are brought to someone's attention, they usually do not get resolved. The president and CEO have a terrible working relationship and yell at each other in ear shot of their employees. It's very unnerving.
