Pros

Did not get to experience any, since they rescinded my offer after I signed the contract and left my previous job.

Cons

Terrible work ethic. I have never experienced this nor has anyone else I talked to about it. I applied to goPuff, got an offer, signed a contract, to start on Nov. 4, 2019. I gave my two weeks at my previous job at Comcast and left Comcast on Oct. 28, 2019. I received a phone call from goPuff on Oct. 30, 2019, telling me that they were rescinding their offer, due to organizational restructuring. When I asked them why they waited so long to let me know, until after I left my secure and well-paying job at Comcast, they said they had just made that decision that day. They refused to get into detail or pay any severance. So, there I was, unemployed, having left my secure and well-paying job at Comcast, thinking that goPuff would honor their signed contract, so I could be a part of their HR team and contribute. They left me completely stranded and made no apologies or efforts to make my situation better. A completely unprofessional, unethical, and unheard of decision. This company does not value their employees one bit. If they are willing to pull an offer with a signed contract back, after the person left their job to start there, just imagine what they can do to their existing employees. I had heard horror stories from people working there (overworked, underpaid employees, no value for human capital, etc.), but I had refused to be believe it, until it hit me in the most terrible way.

Pros

Heads up, other reviews were carefully organized by execs. They aren't accurate. I will provide honest clarification to as much as possible. Awesome culture on the Local Ops level Fun job Quick advancement opportunities (can also be a con) Travel paid by Headquarters (only on the GM level) Most GMs are open criticism and will work with you to get something done. Company will do just about anything for the customer.

Cons

-Impossible KPI targets (probably to lower your chances at a bonus) -Higher ups could care less about drivers and local operations. Will have you raise pay company wide for drivers to 17+ an hr, and suddenly back down to minimum wage because their forecasting is garbage. - ZERO communication between Operations and Forecasting, or Operations and Marketing. So expect a 5 minute heads up on any marketing promotions that will drive your sales up by 30%, but screw you if your DTs are over 40 mins right? Or chew you out if cost exceeds goal by .3 cents because your local teams did an awesome job at calling in for help at the latest notice... Quick advancement opportunity but only because the turn-over rate is high. They will use the excuse of "were a startup, and startups come with growing pains" to pay you less, or to relocate you halfway across the country without accommodating you. They will promise you a high-ranking position, actually make you do the work and not pay you because they're "working out kinks to the hiring pipeline" ^ Take this from someone who resigned and not someone who wrote an angry review due to termination.

Pros

Casual dress and laid back environment at the warehouse. Health insurance

Cons

This company is becoming a joke. Too much is expected of the managers and it is extremely stressful, for what? Absolutely nothing. They take advantage of their employees. I get they are a start up but upper management are the most greedy and selfish people I have ever had an encounter with. They pay so little to the people who are in the warehouse day in and day out working long hours and running an entire warehouse for them. The GM salary is a complete joke for all the work and time that is expected of them. We have no power over the drivers and that is extremely difficult because then we are held accountable and scrutinized for bad delivery times. Well, when drivers don’t show up how are we supposed to handle that situation if we have absolutely no control over them. Their lack of care towards their employees leads to lack of motivation and high turnover. They are open on the holidays which also just validated how greedy and selfish this company is. There are millions of restaurants and companies out there that close on the holidays knowing that there could be a few people that go to their restaurant or store on the holiday but they value their employees enough to let them spend the holidays with their families. GoPuff is not a hotel there is absolutely no need to be open on the holidays. For all your employees do for YOU the least You can do as a company is give your employees the holidays off to spend time with their loved ones. Also going back to the drivers being independent contractors we CANNOT force them to work and it’s extremely hard to find drivers who want to work on the holidays as well. MANAGEMENT needs a lot of work and it starts with the ceo and goes down the chain. You guys need to figure a lot of stuff out before you crash and burn.
