Pros

Some of the people are stellar.

Cons

Fear-based employer that only cares about their bottom line. They do the bare minimum for employees. There is nothing innovative happening there other than a bunch of doctors thinking they are business people with sticks up their butt. Best way to survive here is to always be ready to turn on someone and then step on them as you climb the ladder. The same positions are always open and it's not because they are growing - it's because the turnover is crazy high. The executives are even dumb enough to question the turnover but never want to take a long hard look at the real reasons (them). Incompetence is rewarded. Oh, and days off just don't happen, you'll accrue the PTO, never get to use it and they don't pay out upon leaving.

Pros

You get paid without fail

Cons

Toxic, passive aggressive and incompetent leadership in Accouting and FP&A. If you don’t have a VP or EVP title you don’t matter. Since May of this year9 people within that department have quit or been fired. They hired an AP manger who walked out after a week. The assistant controller is indescribable. She blames everyone for her mistakes, but if you dare call her out, especially when you have written evidence, your days are numbered. The new chief accounting officer is the worst. He defers to the assistant controller most of the time but has his aggressive moments as well. When people leave, senior leadership speaks poorly of them. And anything that can be blamed on them, will be! Run. They have had to resort to listing their open positions under The Core Institute since it has a better rating than HOPCO. Trust the reviews that tell you to run.
