Pros

- Unlimited holiday truly holds up. - Free office lunches. - Nice engineers & cross-functional team members. - Actually a good work life balance, rarely work past 5.30/6pm and people don’t tend to start until 9am at the earliest. - Interesting industry if you enjoy sports.

Cons

- Far too acquisition-heavy. Leads to a very reactive way of working, suddenly needing to pivot to integrating a new system. There’s no plan. - We never stop to evaluate whether what we’re building is even being used, let alone do enough research before committing weeks towards a new feature. - Completely project-based; if you’re looking for somewhere to be more product-minded, it’s not really here. - We spend a lot of effort building for specific customers (who we aren’t even sure will use/commit to the new feature). - Very difficult to get promotion. - Mediocre salary for industry standards. - Parental benefits only focus on getting pregnant rather than post-baby care.

Pros

Cool projects and impactful work

Cons

The engineering culture lately has been very speed focused. We seem to prioritize velocity over thoughtful implementation and quality. Team dynamics can vary significantly depending on the squad you’re on, and in some cases the environment can feel highly competitive rather than collaborative. Overtime is becoming more common and it's unspoken. There can also be pressure to move quickly and keep up with fast timelines, which may not suit people who prefer a more structured and balanced engineering environment. The company removed timeout days so now we're constantly in meetings or getting pinged 24/7 in Slack. My days have less focus time and the constant Slack huddles and messages are becoming more disruptive overtime, but it's because there's so much pressure to move fast. Sprints are starting to feel like hackathons, rather than balanced.

Pros

This company has built a great culture and a great product. All employees are passionate about what they are working on. The company has great balance while also achieving high goals and standards.

Cons

Only US offices are in Lincoln and Omaha Nebraska which is a limiting factor when requiring people to be in person.
