Pros

The people are fun. The pay is good. Location is great. Theoretically, interesting company. People are willing to help you learn the business. Their product for direct sales is fantastic but tough to duplicate in other markets.

Cons

There is NO communication. Employees found out HQ is moving to Austin because of a newspaper interview the CEO did (without Marketing's knowledge). The President is a bully. People are terrified of him. He manages by fear. There is a new culture/old culture clash. In the industry, it is known for churn. If you make it there two years, it is a miracle. Good luck getting commissions if you are in sales.

Pros

FinTech is a buzz word. Hyperwallet somehow has been in business since 2000 so that's something to be proud of. Big summer BBQ with all you can eat and drink, held to boost morale in Vancouver, before handing employees lay off packets. All the C level execs work out of the Austin office so that's a plus if you're into networking or brown nosing.

Cons

Very shady and unethical senior level management running contact center operations. Upper management actively social media stalks employees. Austin call center closed in the middle of the pay period, and upper management knew this blow could be dealt weeks before. CEO would not make eye contact with individuals affected by this in the days leading up to this announcement. Upper management could have had the decency to inform staff that this may happen and allow people with families to find other jobs. Yes, business decisions need to be made but how they are enacted makes a big difference. In other words, you can still fight to do the right thing. Made some employees drive over an hour to work just to advise them that they had no job as of right then, telling them to your desk and leave immediately.

STAY AWAY. PAY ATTENTION TO THE BAD REVIEWS. THEY ARE TRUTH.

Pros

Good pay. Bonding with former employees and trading stories about how they were also screwed over is a great time. Many folks who helped build the place up were forced out or quit due to complete disrespect. If you like playing politics and being lied to directly to your face, this is the company for you.

Cons

It's the worst company to work for. I should've paid attention to reviews before February 2016 (thats when we were forced to write positive reviews about the company to make sure the glassdoor rating increased). Management is terrible. No communication at all. The executives actively lie to employees. It's such a joke. These are peoples lives and careers they are messing with and they don't care at all. The on boarding and maintenance of the live accounts is the worst I've ever seen and they are holding on by a thread. Completely ruthless management. Stay away.
